Privacy Policy

Last Updated: 23 May 2026

Your privacy matters. This page explains, in plain English, what information I collect, how I use it, and how it is protected.

1. What information I collect

To provide hypnotherapy services, I collect basic personal information including your name, contact details (phone, email, postal address), and any health information you choose to share with me — typically in your intake form and during sessions. You decide what health information to disclose. I do not collect information I don’t need.

2. How I use your information

Your information is used to:

  • schedule and confirm your appointments;
  • communicate with you about your care;
  • keep accurate clinical records of our sessions;
  • issue payment receipts or invoices; and
  • follow up with you after sessions, where appropriate.

3. Storage and security

Personal and clinical information is stored securely. Electronic records are kept in encrypted, password-protected practice-management software (Cliniko). Any physical records are kept in a locked cabinet. Access is restricted to me as your treating practitioner. I take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

4. Compliance with Australian privacy law

I handle your personal and health information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. Health records are also handled in line with Victorian health records legislation.

5. Sharing your information

I do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. I do not share your information with third parties except:

  • where you have given me explicit consent (for example, to communicate with your GP); or
  • where required or permitted by law (such as a court order or a serious threat to safety).

6. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal and health information I hold about you, and to request corrections if anything is inaccurate. Requests can be made by phone or in writing. I aim to respond within a reasonable timeframe — typically within 30 days.

7. Privacy enquiries

For any privacy-related enquiries — including access, correction or complaints — please contact me on 03 9853 3221 or via the contact form.
