1. Services
Melbourne Clinical Hypnotherapy is operated by Dr Bruce Alexander PhD, a clinical hypnotherapist based in Kew, Victoria. Services include in-person and telehealth hypnotherapy sessions for a range of concerns including anxiety, sleep, smoking, weight, alcohol, gambling and other matters discussed at your initial consultation.
2. Appointment booking and confirmation
Appointments can be booked online via Cliniko, by phone on 03 9853 3221, or by contacting the clinic. A booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email or message from the clinic. Online bookings require a $50 deposit at the time of booking, which is applied to your session fee.
3. Cancellation policy
At least 24 hours’ notice is required if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations — less than 24 hours’ notice — incur 100% of the session fee, as the appointment time is held for you and cannot be filled at short notice. If a genuine emergency arises, please contact the clinic and we will do what we can to accommodate you.
4. Payment terms
Payment is required at the time of your session. Accepted payment methods include credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), bank transfer and cash. Online bookings require a $50 deposit at the time of booking, which is applied to the total session fee.
5. Health disclaimer
Clinical hypnotherapy is a complementary therapy. It is not a substitute for medical, psychiatric or psychological treatment. If you have a medical or mental-health condition, you should consult your GP or specialist before commencing hypnotherapy, and continue any prescribed treatment unless advised otherwise by your treating practitioner.
If your concern requires urgent medical attention, please contact your doctor, emergency services on 000, or a crisis support line such as Lifeline (13 11 14).

To the extent permitted by law, Melbourne Clinical Hypnotherapy and Dr Bruce Alexander accept no liability for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from the use of services provided. This does not affect any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded or limited.
7. Results disclaimer
Clinical hypnotherapy can be highly effective, but outcomes vary between individuals. No specific results are guaranteed. The number of sessions required and the outcomes achieved depend on a range of factors, including the nature of your concern and your engagement with the work.
